Speed landscape

Felt like trying my hands at a landscape speed paint. Couldn't quite figure out what to do, so I grabbed a photo as reference.

Below is the photo I used. Credit goes to Richard Weisser at

Brick Drop

I really like making the backgrounds for my drop tests. I remember having absolutely no clue on what to draw for backgrounds, but after Bunny's class it's been so enjoyable. I like to look at animation backgrounds for inspiration. They are often simple but oh so well designed.

Something quick based on the theme of "teamwork." It was fun just painting something simple and loose. I would like to do more simple paintings like these. Does anyone have any good theme ideas?

Inspired by Pascal Campion's delightful work. Really enjoyed his lecture at SHM last semester.

Some things I meant to post a while ago

My borg portrait!! Using zbrush made me realize how little I know about sculpting. I just couldn't get the different edge qualities I wanted to achieve on the borg. Once I have enough money for supplies (and time) I wanna try my hands at making maquettes!!! I'm thinking of making an octopus-maid/woman (like Ursula). It would be hard, but hella fun.

Twig and branch painting. These were a lot of fun.
